We are a bunch of people who have found that we need God, and want to be a part of what he is doing and can do in people’s lives.

We meet at the Zeal venue in Henderson on Sundays at 20 Alderman Drive 10.10am till 11.40am, there is coffee, friendly people, comfy couches, good music, lots of room and activities for kids, a youth community, and people of all ages.

We want to provide a space where people can come and consider some of the bigger things of life and where they fit in, and where all this God stuff fits in. It’s a journey and it’s an event; its life making us ask questions and look for answers in the direction of God.

We want to see many people in West Auckland have their lives become free from the things that damage us and those we love, not by our own efforts but by realising that there is a God who made us and cares for us.

Learning how to be alive and well on planet earth, committing ourselves to following Jesus, living in the real world, engaging in relationships, bringing up our families, or getting jobs, or studying, being good citizens or becoming such; growing up as we  grow older,  and bearing the image of the God who loves everyone, being an influence of his goodness in this world.

When the risen Jesus commanded his eleven seemingly unexceptional followers to make disciples of all nations – he also included a promise: “I am with you always, to the end of the age” ( Matt 28:20)

 

We are part of that team as well, years on of course. Sometimes being part of the team making disciples comes down to things such as helping the church service run smoothly, or welcoming people, or teaching kids, or cleaning up when everyone else is going home.

People are busy, it is true, but we all need connection.

Being invited into the privilege of belonging to God’s family, we are thankful, thankful.

We have small groups that are designed to help people connect where they need it. You might need a bit more God connection, or you may need more people connection, or you may need to connect with your needs and answers to some problems, you may need to connect your family to other families, or find a sense of family… whatever the need, we think we could come up with some thing that could work for you.

Our small groups are called PODS – Places of Discipleship. Some come and go because they are a short course, and some are more long term.

Our Pods are an opportunity to get together with a bunch of people who are walking the same road as you.

We have a variety of ways to connect:

Regularly or intermittently, short term, long term, short course, a random meal, or an event, or a community initiative where we help someone, – have a look at what we do- jump on in or invite someone to go with you.
